Southampton Scrapstore will be reopening on 6th July. We will have limited opening hours to start, this is due to extra cleaning needing to be completed and a shortage of volunteers to help.
We have missed you all and look forward to welcoming you back. We are bursting at the seams with resources and hope you are able to find some interesting materials to spark your creativity.
All members who had a valid membership when we closed, will receive a three month extension on their membership to make up for the period we have been closed. We are also hoping to stay open over the summer holidays in August when we would normally close. We are welcoming new members, please complete an application form online.
Proposed opening hours for week commencing 6th July 2020.
Monday 10.30 – 2.30pm
Wednesday 4pm – 8pm
Thursday 10.30 – 2.30pm
Please bare with us, this is a new way of operating for us and we ask you follow the link to our updated Covid -19 compliant terms and conditions of membership. Below is a brief over view of the main changes.
All members must show their card to gain entry, if you have lost your card you will need to contact us at least 2 working days BEFORE your visit for a replacement card to be collected on the day of your visit. No card will mean no entry on that day.
No parking on the forecourt as a health and safety precaution for members queuing outside. Please park in the car park at the end of the estate, spaces numbered 15 are our parking spaces. Alternatively, there is street parking behind the scrapstore.
Only 3 members will be allowed in to the scrapstore at any one time and we are asking that group members come individually. Queuing will be outside, so please bring weather appropriate attire. Please use hand sanitizer before you enter. We are temporarily suspending signing in upon arrival.
We are limiting visits to 15 minutes per person for the first few weeks. Please pay by card if you can – there is no limit on spending for card payments.
Lastly, membership renewals, where possible, are to be completed online please. Renew my membership.
Following us on Facebook is a great way to keep up to date on opening hours.
We are one of the oldest charities in Southampton, and hope to keep providing to the community for another 35 years plus. As a not-for-profit organisation, we will still be facing over heads, if you can help us in anyway, please let us know.
Once we re-open we will be madly fundraising to catch up, we will hold our fabric sale as soon as viably possible – so look out for the date.
If your organisation would like to ‘sponsor us’, please get in touch. We will be checking our emails regularly. If your organisation can share our donate button and if possible – when everywhere reopens – have a donation pot for us, we would greatly appreciate the support.
