Closure – Covid 19

Southampton Scrapstore will be temporally closed, until further notic,e due the government advice, that no non-essential shops should be open during this period. The protection of our staff, volunteers and members is paramount to us. We will re-open when it is deemed safe to do so.

This is a sad and difficult time for us, in over 35 years of being open, we have never had to close for a long period of time. We understand how important creative activities are to our members and hope we can reopen in some form or another soon.

In the mean time, we are encouraging our members and supporters to keep in touch through Facebook. Share your creative accomplishments, give tips on how to get creative with what you have in the house and above all be supportive to all followers of our page. Lets keep each other company and give inspiration where it is needed most.

We are one of the oldest charities in Southampton, and hope to keep providing to the community for another 35 years plus. As a not-for-profit organisation, we will still be facing over heads, if you can help us in anyway, please let us know.

Once we re-open we will be madly fundraising to catch up, we will hold our fabric sale as soon as viably possible – so look out for the date.

If your organisation would like to ‘sponsor us’, please get in touch. We will be checking our emails regularly. If your organisation can share our donate button and if possible – when everywhere reopens – have a donation pot for us, we would greatly appreciate the support.

Can you help us? How to make a donation

Southampton Scrapsore has been open for over 35 years providing a service to the community and doing our little bit for the environment at the same time. The charity can only keep open because of the dedicated team of volunteers who donate their time and skills, the organisations that provide materials for reuse, and the kind generosity of individuals who wish to support what we do and help us to keep going now and for the future.

If you would like to support us, you can make a donation via PayPal Another way that you can help is when you shop at Amazon using AmazonSmile at and Amazon donates to The Southampton Scrap Store, at no cost to you.

If you would like to get involved then please contact us via or by email
