We are excited to share that we have received a grant from Greggs which has enabled us to fund local artists to provide a wide variety of workshops for small groups in and around Southampton.
Our tutors all have oodles of experience and ideas!
Examples of some of the activities that we can offer include sewing, jewellery making, masks and costumes, paper lanterns, paper mache, sculpture, birdfeeders for the garden, mosaics, storybooks, puppets, theatre props and more!
We can’t promise that we can visit everyone as we only have a finite amount of funding, so to be in with a chance simply fill in the form below.
On Saturdays 21st October and 18th November, we’re welcoming back the Pop-up Repair Cafe, 1030am-1230pm, Southampton Scrapstore.
For portable electrical items only – bring your toasters/hoovers/radios etc etc and watch our electrical repairers at work! Repairs/advice free but donations welcomed.
Teas, coffees and biscuits also provided.
See https://transitionnetwork.org/transition-near-me/initiatives/southampton/ for more info.
As well as our scrap store full of materials for you to take as part of your membership, we have a fully stocked arts and crafts shop teeming with brand new products. We’re very proud of our shop because as well as having a brilliant range of materials, our prices are usually much lower than you’d find on the high street or in large hobby stores. What’s more, the profit we make from selling things in the shop gets ploughed straight back into running the scrap store – helping to keep our overheads, and your membership fees, as low as we can.
We’ve just added a new page to our website to show off our shop a bit more, listing just a handful of the things that are on sale. So do take a look, but better still, next time you visit the Scrapstore be sure to browse around our shop too and grab yourself a bargain!
