We are open during half term and offering one day memberships for just £5 per person. Your under 18 dependents are included in this offer and you get one £1.50 bag of scrap. You can purchase as many more bags of materials as you desirer. Available in store – no need to book.
Southampton Scrapsore has been open for over 35 years providing a service to the community and doing our little bit for the environment at the same time. The charity can only keep open because of the dedicated team of volunteers who donate their time and skills, the organisations that provide materials for reuse, and the kind generosity of individuals who wish to support what we do and help us to keep going now and for the future.
We collect material donations from local businesses, but we also accept donations from members of public. If you have a donation you can contact us to arrange for a collection or drop it off to the store on a Thursday between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
The best way to support us is to buy and annual membership, however, If you would like to support us on a monetary basis, you can make a donation via PayPal . Another way that you can help is when you shop at Amazon using AmazonSmile at https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/292075-0 and Amazon donates to the Southampton Scrap Store, at no cost to you.
If you would like to get involved then please contact us.
Volunteers are the store lifeblood and without them, around 48,000 children and 6,000 adults wouldn’t have access to low-cost resources. We love to share ideas about reusing materials and encourage our volunteers and members to help us to do the same. We have been open for over 30 years and we have seen many changes and we wish to keep on doing the same for future generations.
What we are looking for…

Southampton Scrapstore is looking for new trustees to serve on the management committee and take this wonderful local 35 year old charity forward, hopefully for another 35 years.
“Trustees ensure their charity has a clear strategy, and that its work and goals are in line with its vision. A trustee’s role in a charity is to be the ‘guardians of purpose’, making sure that all decisions put the needs of the beneficiaries first. ” https://reachvolunteering.org.uk/guide/become-trustee
